Our Sun, a magnificent Star, is a ball of gases, hydrogen, helium and heavy elements. It holds the central position in our solar system and escorts the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (I still include Pluto although it
seems to have been kicked out of the planet club in recent years)
as well as an assortment of other celestial bodies including
dwarf planets, more than sixty moons and many, many
asteroids orbit the fiercely burning, incandescent sphere, Our Sun.
Our Solar System Collection explores the character of images presented to us by the celestial bodies of Our Solar System; those of icy quiescence, smothering incalescence, tranquil and unchanging, with gentle breezes or furious upheaval.
